*TURN OFF THE TV AT DINNER TIME :  Studies prove people inhale 40% more food in front of the tube than sitting at a table. 40%! :) (I kind of notice that this makes sense. I eat more when I`m watching tv than eating at our dinner table.)

*SEND A CARD TO YOUR LOLA : Experts agree that positive activity can boost your mood, so choose one genuinely nice thing–like checking in with a relative or walking your neighbor`s dog-and do it once a week (I do it more than once, and yeah, it really works!) ;p

*LOCK DOWN A ROMANCE RITUAL : Grab breakfast at your fave pancake place on your anniversary date each month, or take a walk every Sunday afternoon to chat. A little tradition that you both look forward to can boost your bond. (We often take a walk around and chat  and it works for us. We have so many “little traditions” that really boost our bond.   But I must try the “breakfast thingie” soon! ;p

*FORCE IT FOR 15 MINUTES : If you loathe cleaning your closet, tell yourself you`ll do it for only 15 minutes. By the end of time you can walk away…but chances are, you`ll be far enough into the project that you`ll keep going. (This is something that I MUST try since I am always sooooooooo lazy to clean! Most especially when I`m tired and busy) :)

*CREATE A VISION BOARD : This is also known a a collage of the stuff that gets you enthused. Experts say they focus your ambitions. Try pinterest.com–grab images online that move you or psych you up, “pin” them to an online board, and gain inspiration every time you look at it. (Now this is true! I made my own pinterest account, check it out — pinterest.com/Prellente/ :)

*MAKE A TEENY-TINY RESOLUTION : It can be practical (floss every morning) or fun ( wear earrings everyday). Why? Making a point to do something no matter what can increase overall will-power since you`re exercising the same skill set that draw on you when your are tackling a bigger or harder challenge. :)

*MOVE THE CRAP OUT OF YOUR BEDROOM : When it`s filled with clothes, books, and stuff you need to deal with, it`s hard to relax and enjoy sex and sleep, the only two things the room should be used for. Make a playlist you can listen to during your commute, or bring along that book you`ve always meant to read. :) (willl have to buy new mp3 player or ipod and continue reading the hunger games! will start tom! ) :)

*GET IT ON THE A.M. : Doing the DEED with your your partner (or your vibrator) unleashes feel-good hormones in the body to start your day off right. :)

*POP A MINT : Sugar (the real kind, not the fake stuff you find in diet drinks and food) has been proven to temporarily boost willpower. But a little goes a long way, so don`t use it as an excuse to mainline chocolate as you`re powering through. (This works for me,too!) :)

Just because your grandmother has Alzheimer`s doesn`t mean you`ll suffer the same fate. In fact, despite the disease`s genetic link, up to half the cases could potentially be prevented through certain lifestyle early changes.” Since there is no known cure, prevention strategies such as exercising regularly, staying mentally active, eating whole foods, quitting cigarettes, and identifying and managing conditions such as depression are crucial” says study author Deborah Barnes, Ph.D., of the University of California at San Francisco. How much of a difference will those crucial healthy behaviors make? PLENTY. :) Just look at the percentages of Alzheimer`s cases that may be caused by preventable factors:

21% caused by inactivity

15% caused by depression

11% caused by smoking

7% caused by obesity

Facebook might not be a time -suck after all. A new study shows Web browsing could boost your work performance. People had better focus and productivity after taking a 10 minute break to poke around online. “That`s more pleasurable and rejuvenating than checking email, which is more demanding.” says study coauthor Vivien Kim Geok Lim, Ph.D. Keep your mind sharp on busy days by taking a few virtual breaks. :)
